I was in Alabama for two weeks this month for personal reasons and I heard about several dramatic monsoon rains that I missed while I was gone. That’s why I was exited when, back in my office on the Hill, I saw the sky darkening and clouds moving towards me from the east. I grabbed my camera and ran outside.
I was starting to get rain drops on my camera lens as I took this photo of downtown from the Hill. The storm was coming towards Tumamoc where I stood. I ran to my car and drove up to the top of the hill to get some other views. I got wonderfully caught in the downpour. I made a note to invent something to protect my camera so I can take photos in the rain. I did take some photos through my car window.
