This Black-tailed rattlesnake, is a serious contender for a prize at the Tumamoc Hill reptile beauty pageant, especially after it’s rattles were painted. I scanned this beauty after it was processed by the Matt Goode lab (while it was still under anesthesia, of course). We had just enough time?it was starting to wake up after the belly scan. I have a scanner in my office on the hill, so it is available on short notice.
I don’t know how to categorize this image: art, science, evidence, or what? I’ll call it a photograph. I’m using the scanner like a camera. The original image can be printed floor to ceiling size.
That snake itself is a work of art.. so beautiful! Very cool, Paul.
