
Another dead prickly pear caught my eye. I don’t know if this is just me, but it’s still beautiful when dead. I think of this as a “Ghost Series” of dead desert plant images.? I photographed it just as it was, lying flat on the? ground where it fell, draped over rocks and other plants. The cactus was not really blue, as it appears–it seemed to catch the blue reflected light from the sky.
And if I never get around to making my own last will and testament, or whatever they call it, let this post be my epitaph: I want my ashed scattered over Tumamoc Hill when I die.
