I am fortunate enough to be on Tumamoc at different times of day and in different weather. I find the interior of the old unused greenhouse, where there is no weather, a fascinating place and I can’t leave it alone. The light, temperature, the atmosphere inside and the way things sound there is different from any other place. It encloses and protects, yet is open to the world.
One Sunday morning I realized that it was like a kind of chapel, a sanctuary for all. Since it’s only a ruined greenhouse, each individual can see their own personal belief system reflected there. Also, unlike most religious sites, it’s not dark in there, except at night.
