fog on teh hill

Weather Report

saguaros in the fog

Fog. Last Sunday morning I drove up with Leo (19 months) to check the 100 year old rain gauge after a couple of days of winter rains. He actually took a nap in the next office so I could work for a bit.

There was an almost “Chinese painting” look about the desert as saguaros receded into the fog hiding the summit. I thought about writing a haiku. Thank you to Leo for standing still and waiting patiently while I walked over some rough rocks and took these photos to make the panorama. He smiled, as if to say, “Yes, dad, whatever. Just don’t wander off.”
