THERE WERE SO MANY WORDS in the title that I had to abbreviate them, but they all go together this week. UA News came out with a video about Tumamoc artists and features the new book, This Piece of Earth (TPoE) a compilation of art and poetry created on-site at Tumamoc Hill. The POG poetry group will hold a reading at the Tucson Festival of Books.
Carina Johnson from UA News came up to several recent Tumamoc art sessions to interview Tumamoc artists and filmed a video, just published this week. You can view it above or on the UA News Web site.
This weekend, you can hear the POG poets read from the book, and also purchase a signed copy by all the contributors.
The poets from This Piece of Earth will be giving a reading as part of the Tucson Festival of Books. This will take place at 4:00 pm on Sunday, March 16 in the Kachina Room at the University of Arizona Student Union.
View the event on the TFoB Web site.
Directions to the Kachina Room are as follows: entering the Student Union from the southside main entrance, go up one floor to the 3rd floor. Then turn right and walk west down the corridor to the end. Kachina Room is at end of west corridor and is on your right.
See you there.
